About Project

NYSC Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) CDS group in Taraba State organized a two-month free skill acquisition programme for secondary school students of Zing LGA.
The free skill acquisition programme which took place from May to June 2017 was to impact the lives of the young secondary school students of Taraba State. Participants received trainings in different areas such as bead making, cosmetology, food processing, ICT and Fashion/Designing.
Over 100 students were trained on the skill of their choice at Government Technical Training School, GTTS where the programme began.
The facilitators were: Paul Chinasa Nancy, Frederick Chizoba, Chiemeka Nnorom Felix amongst others.

What is CDS?

CDS is an important aspect of the National Youth Service Corps. It is a compulsory activity aimed at encouraging community development, promoting national unity, and improving the skills and expertise of all corps members.
