About Project
During a visit to a school in the Egbedore local government area of Osun state for a CDS sensitization program, Corps member James Anwoh noticed that the pupils lacked access to a good water supply but had a hand-held water pump borehole which wasn't functional. Determined to make a difference, he decided to rehabilitate it.
He embarked on the project, carefully assessing the borehole and identifying the necessary repairs. With the support of local technicians and the community, James sourced the required materials and diligently worked on restoring the pump.
After several days of hard work and overcoming various challenges, he was successful in restoring a reliable water supply to the school. The pupils and staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude, as the availability of clean water significantly improved their daily lives and hygiene standards.
This initiative not only addressed an immediate need but also showcased the impact of community service and the dedication of Corps members like James Anwoh.
